For over twenty years, the Dublin Chartered Accountants Students Society (DCASS) have played a football tournament every summer.
This year the tournament will be held in VEC Grounds, Terenure. Brightwater Recruitment Specialists first sponsored the tournament
in 2000 (a first in the event's history) and has been involved as the sole sponsor since then.
Student chartered accountants all enter teams from their firms for both the mens' and the womens' competitions. This year, all games
will be 7 aside in both the Cup and the Plate competitions.
The competition is run on two levels. Once the Group stage is over (2 games per team), the team that tops their group will go straight
into the Cup and the team that comes in 2nd in their group will go straight into the Plate.
This is a 3-day tournament (Monday 29th June, Tuesday 30th June and Wednesday 1st July). The whole event finishes with a barbecue and
prize-giving in Brady’s pub where teams celebrate their victories or drown their sorrows.
