5th July 2010: Applegreen creates 300 service station jobs

Motorway service stations operator Applegreen is to create 300 jobs in three new motorway service areas.

Two of the new service points are on the M1 in Castlebellingham in Co Louth and Lusk in Co Dublin.

The third will be located on the M4 at Enfield in Co Meath. The jobs will be full and part-time positions.

The job announcement coincides with the release of results of a business sentiment survey by the employers' group IBEC.

It suggests that business confidence has strengthened in the past three months.

The survey also shows that recovery is stronger in the exporting sectors than in the domestic economy.
