3 March 2010: Australian healthcare firm to create 70 Dundalk jobs

Australian healthcare company Probiotec Limited has announced it is to establish a European manufacturing headquarters in Dundalk, Co Louth, with the creation of 70 jobs. Probiotec will produce its range of weight management and other food products including its Celebrity Slim line at the new HQ, which will form a strategic production centre for Probiotec to drive its growth in the European market. The investment, which is taking place with the support of the Government through Enterprise Ireland, is expected to generate sales of over €30m over the next three years. Recruitment for the 70 new positions will start in early 2010, the company said. It is aiming to start shipping its products from Dundalk by mid-2010.
