Ideally 8 – 10 years + in senior management level within payment, funds, advisory / corporate banking.  A current PCF holder would be a distinct advantage.

About the Position

The team you’ll be joining. Has one of the fastest growing technology product hub providing e-money payments for B2B and B2C client, covering over 35 countries with key partners including national governments, mobile network operators, banks and global blue-chip organisations.
  • Key Responsibilities

  • This is a unique opportunity and exciting time to join an award-winning Global Fintech, who has embarked on an implementation of a next generation payments platform
  • The Head of Compliance will support leadership to ensure the Compliance Framework is driven across the business both internally and externally.
  • Organise, coordinate and perform adequate controls in order to identify, evaluate and monitor compliance risks.
  • Make recommendations on the actions required to mitigate current and potential compliance risks and monitor the implementation of the measures taken.
  • .Oversee the implementation and maintenance of appropriate AML, anti-fraud, and KYC policies and procedures, maintaining up to date documentation, monitoring, and reporting any suspicious activity.
  • Development and implement a Compliance Program and Business Governance framework that addresses the business’ ongoing requirements relating to all aspects of regulatory obligations applicable to E-Money.
  • Lead the execution and ongoing Quality Assurance across the company and lead the improvement of all operational aspects of the compliance program including policy/procedure governance, training, risk assessments, monitoring, periodic testing, and investigations.
  • Support the European Director of Risk & Compliance and where required act as a regulatory liaison in respect of any regulatory and scheme communications, inquiries by the CBI / FCA..
  • Engage with the other control functions within the business as required on an ongoing basis and work with key stakeholders to develop processes and product solutions that address regulatory and scheme requirements.

Experience/Requirements 

  • Ideally a minimum of  8+ years of compliance and/or regulatory legal experience, including experience working in or advising regulated entities.
  • Experience in dealing with  CBI, FCA, EPC and/or other payments regulatory/scheme authorities
  • Sound experience in compliance and risk workflows including KYC, AML, anti-fraud, anti-bribery, privacy, third party oversight, sanctions, SARs, regulatory limits and PEPs & Sanctions screening.
  • Strong integrity, judgment and executive presence and have experience and enjoy clearly articulating risk, and strategies to mitigate risk, to key partners, executives, boards and regulators.
  • Excellent trouble shooter who has proven track record of resolving regulatory challenges and inconsistencies.
  • Education: CAMS or ACOI qualification advantageous.
