Compliance Executive

About the Company

Our client are a specialist mortgage servicer offering flexible/hybrid working and a real opportunity for someone who may have recently completed the ACOI accreditation or is perhaps working towards it. 

About the Position

This role reports to the Compliance Manager and the successful candidate will assist in implementing the company's compliance strategies and plans in a fast paced environment. 
 

Key Responsibilities 

Compliance Programme
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to the business.
  • Prepare reports to management and external stakeholders as required.
Compliance Monitoring
  • Assist in the planning and execution of internal compliance reviews.
  • Analyse and interpret investigations and findings.
  • Write reports and make recommendations.
  • Provide assurance on how well the compliance risks are being managed.
Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing
  • Analyse monthly transactions for suspicious activity, liaising with the Money Laundering Reporting Officer as required.
  • Investigate activity and carry out customer due diligence reviews, as required.
  • Policies and Procedures
  • Maintain policies, procedures and controls for the successful operation of the Compliance Department.
  • Assist in the review of departmental and organisational compliance procedures and practices.
  • Monitor, review and implement new regulations.
  • Audits, Projects, Other
  • Prepare for and support Compliance related audits including Internal Audit reviews, Central Bank and other regulatory inspections.
  • Support day to day interaction with various regulators including Central Bank, Data Protection Commissioner and Financial Services & Pensions Ombudsman.
  • Support the Operations teams through efficient Compliance query handling.
  • Assist with Staff training.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects for the Compliance department as required.

Experience/Requirements 

Minimum 2 years’ experience within a Compliance role in any area of financial services, which includes experience of AML/CTF. Compliance experience must be recent and within the ROI jurisdiction.

• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills are key requirements of the role.
• Methodical approach to work with great attention to detail.
• Confident user of IT applications
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Effective problem solver with numerical skills;
• Be delivery focused
• Ability to work under pressure
• CCMA or CPC is an advantage but not essential.
• A compliance and or business qualification would be an advantage.

Remuneration Package

This is a permanent role, salary €40 - €45k.
