Operations Manager - Manufacturing

About the Position

This is a 2 year fixed contract position.
The operations Manager is responsible for managing the full scope of the operations function including procurement to product delivery at the highest standard. This role will be the key driver in operational excellence overseeing a Paint Manufacturing plant, all warehouse activities and purchasing managers.

Key Responsibilities 

  • All Procurement requirements
  • Production of the full line of company paint ranges
  • Supply and delivery of all products in a timely manner
  • Day to day running of entire plant and site to high operating, safety and housekeeping standards
  • Overall management of purchasing function
  • Production planning, ensuring product is manufactured and shipped in a timely basis
  • Management of logistics function
  • Drive new Lean initiatives, to create a culture of consistent production and continually improving all functions of the organisation
  • People management, mentoring, development, consistent with company culture
  • Compliance and all Health and Safety measures
  • Quality control

Experience/Requirements 

  • Engineering degree or equivalent with at least 10+ years Operations Management experience in manufacturing environment
  • Experience in change/ transformation
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Experience in implementing LEAN projects for streamlining operations
  • Advanced interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Confident at influencing decisions at a senior management level
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all level of stakeholders internally and externally
  • Proven ability and agility to embrace new systems and processes
  • Ability to perform under minimum direction
  • Positive approach to challenging issues  
  • Results driven and natural team motivator
  • Managing all stakeholders and have a passion for people Development, encourage and promote coaching

Remuneration Package

€70,000 - €75,000 per annum
