About the Job

Join this excellent top 10 firm as Tax Manager and develop your tax technical knowledge across Corporate Tax and VAT. Working with a young and dynamic partner group you will manage both tax planning and tax projects supported by a team of trainees and managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing your own portfolio of clients, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the strong relationships which are key to the firm’s growth
  • The role is a mix of corporate Tax and VAT focused but there will be ad hoc advice and projects to be provided.
  • Participate and assist when required with tenders and / or fee quotes.
  • Project lead the provision of advice to clients on tax planning opportunities and work with partners in a variety of consultancy projects.
  • Manage multiple tax assignments concurrently and ensure the most effective and efficient use of time and resources at all times. Seek guidance from immediate manager as required.
  • Contact, liaise and foster business relationship that develops the client portfolio further.
  • Manage the delivery of assignments to a high standard of quality
  • Manage the day-to-day supervision, ensure the training needs and on-the-job training are met.

Experience/Requirements

  • At a minimum you will be CTA qualified with 2 years post quailfied expereince
  • Ideally, a graduate with a relevant accountancy qualification
  • Confident self-starter with good interpersonal skills with at least four years tax experience.
  • Willing and able to work under pressure and cope flexibly with, at times, demanding deadlines.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail and ability to think laterally meaning you can identify potential problems and providing solutions.
  • Fully conversant with current tax issues and conversant with relevant legislation, case law etc.
  • Show initiative, exercise judgement, and take ownership of issues from start to finish
  • Salary and benefits will be market rate, reflecting your level of qualifications and experience.
