About the Company

One of Ireland's leading providers of Facility Management Services is seeking to appoint an Electrical Facilities Maintenance Technician to be based in Dublin.

In this role you will cover multiple customers across a wide variety of industries.

About the Position

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake such maintenance repairs, installation or servicing work as required.
  • Support the service centre in their role by effective communication on completion of site visits on current status of works and promote efficiency/good practice
  • Complete work to a high specification and provide feedback / quotes where follow up works are required
  • Always observe and comply with all working practices and to ensure Statutory compliance and appropriate Health & Safety statutory requirements
  • Observing all onsite and legislative rules and regulations in terms of Health and Safety
  • Comply with the company’s procedures when working on a client’s premises
  • Due to the nature of our business you will be expected from time to time to work additional hours to support operational needs
  • Participate in the company’s out of hours emergency call out rota as required
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel reasonable distances to carry out work on sites as required.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns when instructed by the Helpdesk / Management
  • Support colleagues on project works / repairs as and when required
  • Be capable of using own judgement where required to ensure issues are dealt with promptly
  • High Standards - Ensure that work area is maintained in a clean and tidy state and dispose of all waste products in a suitable manner and in line with company procedures
  • Always maintain a professional manner and develop good working relationships with clients and other staff members
  • Maintain all company issued equipment in a clean, serviceable, presentable and safe manner
  • Ensure company paperwork / Site reports / Timesheets is completed accurately and legibly and presented in a timely manner
  • Ensure all professional qualifications required to undertake duties are up to date

Experience/Requirements

  • Full Electrical trade qualification with 5 years post qualification experience in servicing, fault finding and maintenance of the associated plant and equipment.
  • Experience of Statutory Compliance, Electrical Installation, Maintenance Electrical fault finding, Electrical testing and verification (QC), Statutory Testing, PAT testing, Emergency lighting QQI
  • Good Mechanical Aptitude with knowledge of HVAC Systems preferable
  • Decision maker and ability to work on own initiative and /or as part of a team
  • Flexibility - This is a mobile role servicing our client base however occasional support to our nationwide clients may be required and may include overnight stays
  • Wiling to work overtime if required and be part of the “On call Rota” if needed.

Remuneration Package

Salary is negotiable depending on experience. A contributory pension scheme is available on completion of your probation. Also provided is a company van, fuel card, phone, laptop etc.
