Payroll Specialist

About the Company

Ireland's Largest Public Transport Provider are looking to expand their Payroll team and hire a Payroll Specialist. 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintaining pension member database
    1. Input new pensioners
    2. Make amendments to member details and removal from database
    3. Input data onto payroll system and ensuring accuracy of the data
  2. Calculating values of pensions, deductions etc.
  3. Assisting reconciliations for 1951 and Wages grade pensions
  4. Checking and inputting new tax certificates
  5. Saving individual deduction reports
  6. Dealing with misc. related queries
  7. Checking bank statements for closures etc.
  8. Making outstanding payments to pensioners by cheque
  9. Ensure Revenue reporting requirements are met
  10. Arranging payments for foreign pensions each month. Set up and part authorise payments
  11. Paying weekly/monthly pensioners redundancy compensation and preparing reports./ maintaining files
  12. Undertaking related duties e.g. printing labels for Salaried Pensioners Association on request; maintaining lists of children in education/persons on ill health leave
  13. General clerical duties
  14. Processing and payment of invoices
  15. Provide cover for pension dept. clerical officer roles as required
  16. Other duties as required

Experience/Requirements

  • Accounting Technician or equivalent third level qualification
  • Payroll qualification
  • 3 years business experience
