About the Company


Our client is one of the largest and most successful companies in the world. They have an immediate requirement for a Software QA initially for 6 months.


About the Position

In this role you will assist their design teams to provide frameworks and libraries for use by other engineering teams through manual testing. The frameworks are created with React and with Angular. They test across all browsers in an agile / sprint environment. This role will suit a tester with experience on web applications, ideally using front end development tooling and software and with good technical understanding.

In this role they do a lot of exploratory testing, and use the latest software and tools.



Key Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with designers, researchers and accessibility specialists to manually test our coded libraries of reusable components and patterns for our system

• Ensure our elements, components and features are validated against our specification.

• Report and documents software issues for our Development and Design teams

• Receive and verify defects reported from consumers

• Take initiative in quality assurance practices through exploration of our libraries and tools to identify defects


The ideal candidate would have:

• Experience in testing web applications or code libraries for the web

• Experience testing across multiple browsers, devices and viewports

• Competence in software testing methodology

• Experience with the software lifecycle

• Experience with issue/bug/defect tracking tools

• Experience in written requirements and use cases

• Experience with issue/defect tracking and change management tools.

• Understanding of the WAI and WCAG 2.0/2.1

• Experience and understanding of unit testing, integration testing, automation testing and visual testing in JavaScript and web applications.

• Experience with testing applications and components using additional libraries and frameworks like Angular, Vue, Stencil etc.

• Experience working in agile teams and delivery cycles

• Knowledge of prototyping and design tools such as Sketch and Axure
