About the Position 

The purpose of this role is to lead a team in developing and implementing strategies in the areas of reward, benefits, recognition, performance management and organisational design, in support of the Bank’s strategic plan and objectives. The incumbent will manage the total reward agenda, and will build an Employee Value Proposition (EVP), in line with the Bank’s talent attraction and retention strategy to ensure the Bank is positioned as a fulfilling place to work. They will develop a team of subject matter experts and professionals to work collaboratively with the business to successfully deliver on these strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a member of the management team, lead the team in developing and implementing all reward and benefits, recognition, organisational design and performance management strategies, so that they support Bank’s effectiveness and employee experience, and support our vision to be a fulfilling workplace for our people.
  • Provide leadership and development for team members, to ensure all colleagues can achieve the required performance standards and meet their own development objectives.
  • Oversee and lead engagement with senior stakeholders on key functional responsibilities, delegating and monitoring progress, ensuring quality, continuous improvement and a strong focus on reporting and analysis, to produce outcomes that support the Bank in fulfilling its mandate.
  • Develop the total reward agenda for the organisation, including developing a fully aligned and integrated reward strategy and EVP that considers all element of the employee experience.
  • Provide expert guidance and insight to employee relations colleagues to support reward strategy development and collective bargaining.
  • Oversee organisational design activity, including engagement with HR Business Partners, providing effective governance, job evaluation and design expertise.
  • Develop and manage the next phase of the performance management and development cycle for the organisation, aligned with the needs of the future of work.
  • Work closely with the Head of Function – OE & Employee Experience, the OE & Employee Experience Managers and the People Directorate Leadership Team in the delivery of objectives, to ensure aligned planning, delivery and leadership for the wider team, deputising for the Head of Function when necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of the People Directorate's strategy and planning in order to advance the ongoing delivery of the Directorate’s objectives and take responsibility for delivery of elements of the objectives.

Experience/Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Studies, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Significant relevant experience in Human Resources, in particular demonstrated expertise in the various components of total reward. Previous experience in reward management in public sector or complex multi-disciplined organisations desirable.
  • Experience of managing, leading and mentoring multidisciplinary teams, with proven ability to manage multiple programmes and deliverables across a busy team and to implement process efficiencies.
  • Strong track record in delivering successful projects that involve organisational change and organisational effectiveness.
  • A growth mindset with strong ability to adapt to changing priorities and to successfully manage multiple competing and complex deliverables.
  • Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills with people at all levels, including influencing and communicating with impact at a senior level to achieve results.
  • Good judgment and excellent problem solving skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical ability.

Remuneration Package

€88,000 - €104k plus excellent benefits
