Fixed Asset Accountant 


About the Position



  • Forecast depreciation / amortization for companies fixed assets
  • Process requests related to capital projects (i.e. opening, closing, adjusting) and monitor open projects
  • Process fixed asset additions, adjustments, retirements and transfers in SAP
  • Calculate and post accruals related to Fixed Assets in SAP (i.e. CIP and Depreciation)
  • Reconcile and verify fixed asset ledger with cost center owners
  • Measure and report on fixed asset impairment
  • Process reclasses related to fixed assets in SAP (inclusive of capitalizable turnaround entries)
  • Assist in annual asset verification process
  • Intangible-asset accounting


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance / Accounting (or local equivalent)
  • Professional accountancy Qualification such as, CPA, CFA, CIMA, ACCA, ACA preferred

Minimum Experience (years and type):

  • 2+ years’ experience in a relevant finance and/or accounting role, preferably in a GBS environment and/or related to Fixed Assets

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • SAP Experience with S/4 and/or ECC a plus (especially Fixed asset specific programs)
  • Strong enterprise business acumen, knowledge and understanding of work processes performed by Finance, particularly related to Fixed Assets
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees, supervisors, and customers
  • Strong analytical and time management skills
  • Read, write, and speak English.  Additional language skills a plus
