About the Company

Our client services two types of customers: (i) those who arrange to have waste collected (bins, skips, skip bags or junk removal) via the clients online booking engine and (ii) those who drop off their waste using the client’s smart compactor bins.


The services include domestic door-to-door bin collection, commercial bin collection, skip and skip bag hire, and junk removal such as furniture and other large objects.

About the Position

A newly created role, the CMO will join the client’s executive management team focused on delivering a first-class service to our customers. The CMO will primarily support the CEO and will oversee the marketing function of a listed company.
Currently 5 staff in the marketing team, 60 staff, strong impressive board of directors.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the Marketing Strategy for the Group for the next 3 years (both digital and traditional marketing)
  • Determine KPIs for marketing department, track KPIs on a regular basis and input into monthly Board reports
  • Manage the marketing budget and ensure there are no overruns
  • Review our brand designs and develop a new corporate Identity Document including creating and propagating an enthusiastic brand message that will resonate with our target market
  • Design and improve upon marketing campaigns for each Group business and vertical
  • Major focus on ‘earned’ and ‘owned’ marketing channels
  • Develop nationwide brand building campaign including advertising and sponsorships
  • Set and achieve strategic goals related to social media metrics, traditional advertising, and marketing campaign initiatives
  • Support Investor Relations and corporate communications strategy
  • Help negotiate fee proposals and project details with outside contractors related to marketing and promotions
  • Review and manage content marketing campaigns
  • Work with junk franchisees on local social media strategies and other components of the marketing program
  • Take ownership of and manage the customer service/ success team ensuring that the Group maintains high social validation (though ratings and reviews) and net promoter scores



  • 15+ years' experience in marketing and/or advertising
  • 5+ years' experience in a managerial role
  • Familiarity with strategic marketing campaigns
  • Familiarity with on demand/gig economy a plus
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics
  • Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
  • Excellent communication skills up to board level
  • Leadership and organizational abilities
  • Strategic thinking
  • Problem solving aptitude
  • BSc / BA in marketing or similar; MBA or relevant graduate degree is a plus
  • Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy; and 
  • Comfort with a multitude of software packages including CRM and SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Hubspot and Facebook

Remuneration Package

Basic Salary €100,000 + benefits
