Licensing Administrator

About the Position

Do you have an interest in live music and cinema coupled with strong administration and research experience? The this could be the role for you. Our client is looking for a licensing and operations executive to ensure they are an efficient licensor in events and cinemas. This will involve overseeing the move to a digital licensing process working with IT to design and implement an end-to-end digital licensing solution including event research, event return and set list submission, invoicing processing, issuing and system report generation. The successful candidate for this role will also research pay in live music events, communicating with event organisers, licensing the events, and invoicing the relevant royalty.

Key Responsibilities

    • Researching live music events via websites, social media, ticket seller event alerts and any other relevant source including newspapers, magazines, etc to establish what live music events need licensing
    • Liaison with the IT team to design and develop an end-to-end digital licensing solution including event research, event and set list submission, invoice processing, issuing and relevant system report generation
    • Issuing concert licenses to music promoters and live music venues, theatres and once off live music users.
    • Contacting music promoters and venues on a regular basis for box-office figures, setlists, admissions, capacity figures, etc and raising invoices for performances
    • Performing quality control checks on box office figures from concert promoters and live music venues
    • Pursuing music operators and venues for provision of event setlists
    • Licensing all cinema operators and ensuring the annual royalties are calculated and invoiced on a timely basis
    • Oversee the end to end automation of cinema and live music licensing processes
    • Contacting prospective customers regarding obtaining a license for using music and communicating in a timely manner to all incoming license information requests
    • Report KPI performance metrics for monthly and quarterly financial reporting


    • A degree in Business is preferred but not essential
    • Experience in dealing with licensing
    • Interest in the live music and cinema entertainment sectors
    • Good oral and written communication skills
    • Strong administration and organisational skills to research events, follow up on event licenses and issue related royalty invoices
    • Ability to work on own initiative to achieve budgeted targets and as part of the wider Licensing Team

Remuneration Package

€35,000 - €40,000 plus excellent benefits package
