Procurement Manager - Renewables

Our client is on track to be one of the world’s first pure-play renewable energy majors. They have assembled a world-class team with over 215 years of combined experience in the renewable energy sector and have teams in APAC, Africa, Europe and LATAM.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Head of Procurement. You will be a key member in the process of appointment of construction contractors and suppliers across the business. During the preconstruction phase of all renewable energy projects, the Procurement Manager will be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and provide procurement support to Head of Procurement

• Development of procurement strategy for projects

• Assist with development of procurement cost database

• Preparation of Request for Proposals to facilitate LCOE and other bid proposals

• Coordination with the various internal teams for preparation of the technical Employer’s Requirements for each construction project

• Contract preparation and negotiation.

• Lead all Agreement negotiations and execution with all relevant Suppliers

• Contractor prequalification, tendering, negotiation and administration

• Assist the project managers with schedule estimating, schedule preparation, reporting and control

• Liaise with all external stakeholders and communicate with all relevant internal teams

• Significant autonomy in work and ability to work with minimal supervision

• Participate in company knowledge sharing groups which focus on sharing of expertise globally

• Management of revision and quality of procurement documents

• Updating and maintenance of procurement operating procedures and reports

Experience/Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (electrical or civil), Energy, Business or Environment

• Extensive experience in wind/solar farm engineering and detailed design of wind/solar projects

• Strong contract management ability and understanding of contracting methodologies

• Strong project management skill set required including contract management, contract administration, scheduling, planning, financial control and management

• Strong negotiation skill with excellent written and oral communications skills

• Candidates should be comfortable presenting to management at all levels

• MS Office along with GIS, AutoCAD, MS Project and SharePoint

• Fluency in English; fluency in other languages considered an advantage

Remuneration Package

€70,000- €85,000 depending on the relevant experience
