Founded in 2003 they are an Irish based life assurance company with Headquarters in Dublin.
My client distributes its products on the European market according to the EU Freedom of Services directives “European passport”: it can operate in all the European Countries under the same directive.

Their focus is on providing innovative saving and investment products to customers in the European market as well as specially tailored services to High Net Worth customers. They have over 87,000 customers.

About the Position

This is a brand new role to join a growing team.  The objective of this role is to contribute to the implementation of the local and global HR strategy. Ensure that HR is a valuable contributor to the needs of the  business in achieving its overall vision by working with management on their people strategy.   Partner with Heads of Function to provide HR support and develop strategies to meet their people objectives. Coach and empower managers on people relations issues. Embed HR excellence locally, utilising resources made available from Group HR to support this.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the CEO to support and deliver Group and Company strategic and tactical initiatives in accordance with roadmap for HR.
  • Assist in the design and development of best practice HR processes and procedures including the auditing of current HR processes to ensure compliance and adherence with Irish legislation, local and Group policy and regulatory framework.
  • Present HR updates and reporting to Board and relevant Committee’s regarding Policy development, HR planning, KPI’s and other necessary information to inform the business.
  • Lead and deliver key company and group projects using strong stakeholder management and project management skills to embed success
  • Responsible for overseeing the Company recruitment process ensuring including the adherence to relevant Company policies such as D&I, F&P and key aspects of the recruitment process for the business by liaising with relevant 3rd party agencies, candidates and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee and manage Fitness and Probity process pertaining to all recruitment both internal and external in line with Darta policy and procedures.
  • Oversee and manage the company remuneration and compensation process including monthly payroll and benefits processing with 3rd party vendor ensuring compliance within internal controls
  • Assist in the development of the company Wellness strategy and design initiatives which promote wellbeing  for the Company driving engagement across the organisation.
  • Drive the Talent Mapping process to generate meaningful conversations regarding talent to determine capabilities required within the business function and identification of talent, succession and progression plans are put into action
  • Coach and support managers and employees throughout the employee lifecycle including onboarding, performance management, exit interviews etc. 
  • Partner with Line Managers and strategic partners on talent development plans for their business areas
  • Help to equip managers to address performance management issues and assist where necessary to ensure people are working to their full capacity and capability
  • Manage the ongoing cultural and change management agendas for the Company including communication, wellness and CSR activities.
  • Manage and provide oversight and robust control measures to internal HR processes and procedures in line with Company and group standards including GDPR, Data Protection and Retention Policies.

 

Experience/Requirements

  • 5+ years at Business Partner Level supporting business leaders with strategic implementation and operational activity within the annual people plan
  • Degree / relevant 3rd level HR qualification
  • Knowledge of Human resource processes and best practises
  • Knowledge of Employment law
  • HR Systems (Success Factors preferred)
  • Understanding of Change and Project Management

Remuneration Package

€75,000 - €80,000 plus excellent benefits
