About the Company

Our client, a global Financial Services Company are looking to recruit an Application Security Engineer to their Security team. The main focus of the role is to advance the security of internally developed applications, to assist in security assessment of external systems, and to drive automation of security related processes.

About the Position

Key Responsibilities

  • Further develop the practices within the organization and drive their adoption.
  • Develop security related software libraries for use within the company developed systems.
  • Enhance the company’s cloud security standards.
  • Research the commercial application security tools and advocate for their implementation within the company’s environment.
  • Assess security of third-party systems considered for adoption at the company.

Experience/Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2 – 5 years of experience in Software Engineering.
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in Application Security Engineering
  • A solid understanding of the Secure System Development Life Cycle applied to CI/CD
  • Experience with web-security including OWASP and ZAP
  • Experience with AuthN/Z schemes.
  • Ability to write code in two of: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, PowerShell, C#, C++
  • General understanding of security concepts.
  • Risk focused mindset, ability to find the right balance between usability and security.
  • A natural influencer and driver, someone that is passionate about technology with an ambitious nature.

Remuneration Package

€80,000 to €90,000 per annum dependent on experience, plus bonus and benefits
