About the Position

**Brightwater Executive is retained exclusively for this Director of Sales role**

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, a highly experienced and high-energy Director of Sales is needed for this role. The key focus will be to accelerate the growth of sales while ensuring a scalable and sustainable sales strategy is accomplished. Lead out and build a great team of highly engaged, commercially focused sales professionals, where client centricity is key to everything we do.

In collaboration with Company Directors, you will set realistic, yet challenging revenue growth goals to aid the company strategy and vision. Ensure a strong market network and business intelligence is built up through key events to generate new customer target marketing and cross sell opportunities across current client accounts.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and have a strong ability to multi-task and prioritise things.  A natural leader and mentor, with a “lead by example” style.

Key Responsibilities 


Sales & Business Planning

Proactively seek and drive new business and revenue growth to meet sales targets for the company through working with the sales team, social media, trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations

  • Maintain sales volume and product mix by understanding the business product lines, keeping current on changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
  • Communicate, establish, and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition and supply and demand
  • Create and manage KPI’s and deliver weekly and monthly reporting to the sales teams providing key business insights
  • Generate and maintain accurate Account and Opportunity plans as well as assigning leads generated by other departments
  • Work with all Departments within the business to achieve the targeted sales strategy and maintain the company’s working culture
  • Work collaboratively with the managing director and foster a culture of continuous process improvement
  • Create detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process which is largely dictated by the prospective customer.
  • Identify, manage, and complete tenders with the sales team
  • Own projects and strive to exceed expectations, with the ability to find solutions and deliver results in line with the business company culture.



Sales Team Leadership & Sales Culture Development

  • Lead and motivate the sales team to improve customer relationships with the company’s client base and grow customer loyalty
  • Ensure a sound understanding of the company’s value and USP offerings
  • Maintaining current and establishing high levels of quality, customer service, accuracy, and process consistency to improve customer loyalty and grow our customer base
  • Build and lead out a comprehensive and inclusive, forward-looking Sales team
  • Ensure continued and further development and engagement of selected sales channels and partners through the sales team
  • Drive knowledge management and expertise sharing between accounts and regions
  • Understand the companies’ systems and processes and offer ideas to improve.
  • Establish a sales training programme.
  • Be a key link of communications between the sales team and the Managing Director on any day-to-day matters.
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by our internal or external customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust and promote sales
  • Ensure customer and supplier databases and maintained and the confidentially against these are upheld.


Strategy Planning

  • Understand the company’s markets along with the competitive landscape and market trends
  • Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors and relaying to management/purchasing
  • Develop more strategically focused client relationships at client HQ / group levels to ensure preservation and continued growth of key accounts against the background of market changes and threats through M&A activities across customer groups.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
  • Establish sales objectives and 1-3-5-year sales plans, by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories, projecting expected sales volume. margin and profit for existing and new products




  • Highly experienced strategic sales leader with 10 – 15 years’ experience, of which 5 at least is in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic sales strategy and successful in building revenue streams and refine and execute appropriate; business development plans and work closely with marketing initiates and cross functional team across, technical, operations and sales support, to maximise sales and profitability.
  • A background in medical services, products with a strong network and understand of this sector would be ideal. An adjacent sector background will be considered too.
  • Exceptionally strong leadership and mentoring skills, someone who is passionate about the customer and driving success
  • Able to deal at a strategic and a day-to-day level.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
  • An ability to manage, inspire and lead teams and who thrives in team success.
  • Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a nature relationship builder.
  • Keen business sense, with the ability to find creative business-orientated solutions to problems
  • A natural team player; Strong creativity & negotiation skills; Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Competent with Microsoft Excel and knowledge of NetSuite ERP
