Facilities Technician- Manufacturing

About the Position

The Facilities Technician will be responsible for managing the site facilities services, the maintenance and management of site plant and equipment, and the upkeep of the building and grounds, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair the building and associated equipment

• Ensure fixtures and fittings are well maintained

• Ensure warehouse equipment are maintained in accordance with current H&S legislative requirements

• Oversee site security arrangements and related service contracts

• Ensure lighting and HVAC systems are operating correctly to provide adequate

occupant comfort

• Manage all external contractors required for upkeep and maintenance of the facility

• Oversee the work performed by contractors and monitoring time and materials

• Ensuring that the facilities maintenance schedule is effective

• Adhering to and improving site Health and Safety standards

• Planning and overseeing any office or site renovations and related projects

• Establish and promote operational standards for energy savings

• Communicate performance to the Production Manager, Logistics Manager,

head of Continuous Improvement & Operations manager and addressing issues as

required at daily Production meetings

• Maintaining spend within budget

Experience/Requirements

• Mechanical/electrical maintenance background

• 3 years’ experience of working in a busy facilities environment

• Experience with service contracts

• Experience in planning and scheduling maintenance activities

• Committed to a culture of continuous improvement and safety

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Experience in regulatory site inspections and audits

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Professional approach, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in and adapt to a rapidly changing environment

• Ability to work with minimal supervision and strive for continuous improvement

Remuneration Package

€30,000-€35,000 per annum
