About the Company

My client, based in Central Dublin, provide fund administration services for a wide variety of funds including money market, equity, bond, multi-manager, Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), fund of funds and alternative investment funds. Locally they are a leading Trustee and Depositary for offshore investment funds domiciled in Ireland

About the Position

The Assistant Manager- Financial Reporting role ensures that service is provided in line with client service level agreements and regulatory requirements and in accordance with agreed upon operating procedures. This service must be delivered in a manner that ensures exposure to operating risk is minimized.

Key Responsibilities

  • Is responsible for all aspects of the fund financial reporting services (including preparing high quality financial statements and underlying workings files)
  • identifies the operational requirements for each client and co-ordinates the activities needed.
  • involves active communication with senior management, including directors
  • involves daily interaction with clients and many internal departments within the company
  • Client Management - responsible for the provision of a proactive Financial Reporting service to clients, to service their ongoing financial reporting needs
  • Service Delivery - primarily responsible for ensuring that Financial Reporting deliverables are consistently delivered in an accurate and timely manner. Responsible for high standard of service delivery to clients within agreed timeframes.
  • Maintain excellent client relationships and ensure all service level agreements are green
  • Control Environment - Ensure adherence to internal and external policy and regulation. Ensure all errors, breaches or client incidents are reported timely and in line with current procedures.


  • Degree/qualification in accounting, business or other qualifications relevant to the investment industry and in particular Financial Reporting.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the funds industry or Big 4 audit experience with particular emphasis on funds audit experience
  • Detailed knowledge of the funds industry and the ability to recognise and respond to the needs and expectations of key stakeholders.
  • Experience in both complex instruments and fund structures.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A thorough understanding of various accounting standards including International Financial Reporting Standards, FRS102, LUX GAAP and US GAAP.
  • Ability to cope with multiple priorities and coordinate the efforts of others in order to bring a process to closure.
  • Self-directed and proactive in identifying, analysing and rectifying issues or situations that could lead to service issues for clients.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form, to a level consistent with delivering excellent client presentations, excellent relationship management skills with clients and colleagues.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Remuneration Package

  • Salary- €50,000-€60,000 D.O.E.
