About the Company

Brightwater Executive are delighted to be partnering with this Super ManCo in the search for the new Designated Person for Financial and Capital Management.

The global business has assets under management of $100 bn with offices across the world.

They provide investment services to their European client base across a wide range of investment themes.

About the Position

As Designated Person for Capital and Financial Management (PCF-39A) you will be responsible for managing and executing the company’s financial and capital management policies.

You will ensure compliance with its regulatory obligations as well as the effective and efficient management of financial control, budgeting and forecasting and audits for both the Company bad its Funds.

In addition, you will lead the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and in conjunction with the Chief Risk Officer, the ICAAP annual review.

As a partner to the business, support the achievement key strategic objectives and provide leadership and advice to the Company, its Board and the wider Group in respect of capital and financial management matters.

This role is an extremely visible role, as part of the senior management of both the Irish and wider Group business and offers a fantastic opportunity for career growth Group-wide and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Capital

  • Monitoring of Minimum Capital Requirements;
  • Preparation and filing of finance and capital related regulatory returns
  • Management of processes for additional capital contributions;
  • Monitoring and reporting in respect of ICAAP;


  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting for Company’s P/L, Balance Sheet, Regulatory Capital and Budget and Forecasts
  • Management of cash flow and liquidity;

Service Providers and Oversight

  • Ensure appropriate accounting processes and procedures are in place;
  • Timely and accurate calculation of the NAV of each fund
  • Timely and accurate monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Provide support and oversight of fund specific projects.

Accounting Record, Policies and Procedures

  • Develop and maintain effective capital and financial management policies and procedures
  • Oversight and monitoring of service providers

Auditors and Financial Statements

  • In conjunction with Group, preparation of annual and semi-annual financial statements
  • Management of the relationship with the relevant external auditors
  • Management of the Board review and approval process for the audited financial statements
  • Management of processes in respect of proposed shareholder dividends;
  • Oversight of the Board review and approval process for the audited financial statements


  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA or equivalent) with a minimum of 8 years’ post qualified experience
  • Strong technical operational and accounting knowledge for a variety of fund types, financial products and investment strategies skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and demonstrable experience of operating at C-Suite, Executive and Board level
  • Understanding IFRS / FRS 101 and / or fund accounting for Ireland or Luxembourg collective investment schemes a distinct advantage.
  • Understanding of the Luxembourg regulatory regime (CSSF) an advantage.
  • Robust knowledge of UCITS/ AIFMD/ MiFID in particular with respect to capital management and compliance including ICAAPs and the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fund Management Company Guidelines, 2016 (aka CP86).

Remuneration Package

€100,000 - €115,000 + excellent bonus and benefits
