Accounts Assistant
The client is a successful Irish-owned business based in North Country Dublin 15 minute walk from the dart train station. They are a specialist in Electronic parts servicing clients here and abroad for over 30 years.
About the Position
This Accounts Assistant Job will vary in responsibility, everything from - AP Reconciliation, Payment Runs, Processing Transactions, and assisting with the preparation of monthly Management Accounts. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Finance who has been in their role for nearly 20 years.
Key Responsibilities
- AP Reconciliation, Payment Runs and Processing Transactions
- Reconciling Bank Accounts
- Assist preparation of monthly Management Accounts
- Providing documents and liaising with external Auditors
- Preparation of VAT, RTD, Intrastat, VIES Returns and submissions
- Processing Cash Receipts and Allocations
- Contribute to Budget Process
General Accounts work:
- Reviewing Expenses approved by Managers
- Arrange bookings/ payments for employees (training, conferences, meetings, etc.
- Coordinate office maintenance and facility requirements
- Order and maintain office supplies
Experience/Requirements
- 2 to 3 years’ experience working in an Accounts team
- Experience with cloud-based products and ERP system (Intact iQ, Microsoft 365 advantageous)
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Ability to work to timelines, prioritise workload and multitask while maintaining a high standard of work
- Attention to detail, methodical approach and ability to follow up essential
- Ability to solve problems using own initiative
- Experience or interest in Data Analysis
Remuneration Package
30000-35000 including CPD Assistance, Charity donation per year to employee’s chosen charity, Bike to Work Scheme PRSA available
