Field Sales Executive - Lighting

About the Company

They are a leading specialist lighting company who is provide conceptual and detailed design services to end-users, specifiers and contractors for over 20 years
Their core areas of expertise are in commercial, medical, pharma, retail, and industrial/infrastructure applications as well as educational and high spec residential.

About the Position

The successful candidate will deal with branch queries within a specific geographic location and seek out lighting opportunities from the extensive existing customer base as well as developing new potential customers. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, develop and maintain credible relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Ensure achievement of all relevant targets and objectives.
  • Identify and action appropriate steps to rectify any shortfalls.
  •  Working closely with other divisions to increase revenue opportunities by offering variety of service provisions such as: renewables, datacomms and other specialist services.
  • Maintain completion of systems to provide required reports, information and feedback, in agreed formats and timeframes.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels in each branch in line with Company policy.

Experience/Requirements

  • At least 3 years’ field sales experience. Applicants must some exposure/involvement in the lighting industry.
  • Clear evidence of being able to identify and develop sales, including new accounts, drive sales forward, get them “over the line” and achieve financial objectives and targets.
  • Motivated by challenging targets, a supportive yet competitive culture and a tight knit, highly motivated, enthusiastic set of sales colleagues.
  • Able to have discussions with clients that are solution focused and experience delivering client presentations.
  • Attention to detail and planning, understands priorities and can focus on the things that drive the right results.
  • Well-developed negotiation and commercial skills/understanding.
  • A full Irish driving license
