Business Development Manager

About the Company

Business Development Manager required to manage sales into the Life Sciences Industry for a leading supplier of equipment and consumables.

About the Position

Primarily based in Dublin and covering the Midlands and northern counties you will target companies in the Pharma, Biotech and Medical Devices sector.

Key Responsibilities

Maintaining and increasing sales and profit of products
Generate sales for a portfolio of accounts and reach the company's sales target
Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts to remain a client-account manager relationship by up-selling and cross-selling
Maintaining and expanding your customer base
Maintaining high service levels with existing customers
Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market
Tender management
Develop value added services
Manage and solve issues/conflicts with clients
Interact and coordinate with the sales specialists and all staff members working on the same account
Establish budgets with the client and company
Meet time deadlines for accounts
Compiling and analysing sales figures
Collecting customer feedback and market


Educated to degree standard or equivalent experience
At least 5 years’ sales experience, preferably in a related industry
Experience in account management
Ability to cope with pressure, prioritise workload and to work to strict deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively as a team and independently without direct supervision and use own initiative
Ability to manage, facilitate and chair meetings

Remuneration Package

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
