Pharmacovigilance / Drug Safety  Manager 

About the Client

My client are a leading Pharmaceutical group with manufacturing and commercial offices across Ireland and the UK. They have a broad portfolio of products licensed and marketed globally.  

About the Position

Reporting into the Associate Director of Regulatory Affairs and PV and working closely with the Director of Regulatory Affairs, this person will be responsible and have oversight of PV activities across the EU and the UK. This position is a stand alone role (no direct reports) offering an excellent base salary + benefits and remote working if desired.  

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide oversight and maintenance of the Pharmacovigilance System Master File (PSMF) 
  • To liaise with the external contract service providers to ensure all pharmacovigilance activities are in compliance with current EU and UK requirements
  • To assess the current PV set up and where possible and to bring procedures in house

Experience/Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in Life Sciences or related 
  • Significant Drug Safety / PV experience within a pharma company directly or experience in a CRO working with Pharmaceutical products to EU and UK legislation and guidelines
  • Previous oversight or maintenance experience with the PSMF - essential 
  • Ability to be self directed and work on own initiative 
  • Ability to work within a highly skilled and experienced team, work cross functionally with other departments and up-skill and train new hires as the function expands
  • Eligibility to live and work within Ireland

Remuneration Package

As a guide the salary is pitched at €70,000 - €75,000 depending on experience + benefits.
