About the Company

We are currently looking to recruit a civil engineer, based in Dublin. This is a contract role, working on a large construction program based in the city center. The client is expanding their portfolio of structures in Dublin and is looking to add to the state-of-the-art facilities they currently have. They are building 2 large buildings in the city center that will require a civil engineer who has knowledge of basements, project management, fit out and sub-contractor management.

About the Position

Working closely with the project manager, you will be involved in managing a number of sub-contractors across the civil aspect of this program. You will also be involved in managing the design and costings of several packages. You will manage ground works, steel and RC work on site.   

Experience/Requirements

Within this role you will be involved in

  • Work on behalf of the client to ensure project delivery.
  • Manage subcontractors on site
  • Oversee design and costings of projects
  • Manage the planning function
  • Manage project controls
  • Run tender competitions for the design aspect of projects
  • Attend site meetings on project status
  • Deliver reports to senior management on the project

For this role you are required to have

  • A min or 4 years design experience.
  • A Civil engineering related qualification
  • You MUST be degree qualified
  • Experience in groundworks
  • Experience with a contractor is advantageous.
  • Experience working on the client side.

Remuneration Package

This is a contract role and rates will be based on experience. The term of the contract is 6 months with a view to an additional 3 months
