About the Company

My client- a leading and very successful healthcare technology company have a great opportunity for a Senior Technical Lead to join their technology team and manage a team of 5-7 Python, Devops and Android Engineers. The business has plans to expand in the US & Europe enabling customers to transform how they deliver care. 

About the Position

This role will be responsible for code review, software delivery and leading a team of 5 engineers, and work closely with company leadership in the Development of the Business.

The role will have total responsibility for the technical architecture and lead the development and maintenance of the entire product platform.

This role is full remote and can be based anywhere in Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall accountability for the effectiveness of the entire software development organisation, managing our Software Development and Quality Assurance teams to success on our product platform.

  • Be a thought leader in your space and share your learnings and knowledge. Document the technical vision and viewpoint and actively contribute to the engineering organisation. Encouraging best practises through the SDLC to ensure engineering output is of high quality and technical debt is managed

  • Working with others in the business and external partners using our Quality Management and Information Security systems - we are working towards ISO 13485 & ISO 27001 certification.

  • Scoping and mapping the implementation of new systems, technology and processes in the engineering team, and working with company leadership teams in cross functional process and systems development

  • Drive & implement DevSecOps & technical improvements. Lead the definition, measurement, and reporting of external and internal metrics.

  • Recruiting, leading and supporting great people in the team, motivating and inspiring them to give their best to achieve team goals, while recognising and celebrating success. Improve our ability to retain high performing engineers through co-creating career progression plans & using the performance management tools with our HR business partner.

Experience/Requirements

  • Technical Leadership and experience in managing feature/epic work and planning their development.

  • Engineering / Development background

  • Experienced in scaling up an organisation while meeting demanding customer deliverable

  • BSc in Computer Science or BEng in Electronics or Computer Engineering or related fields or with equivalent experience

  • Ideally 6+ years in development and minimum of 3 years managing teams within an agile development organisation.
  • Extensive experience in designing and deploying cloud applications that provide security, scalability, and a great user experience
  • Must have excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication skills with customers and stakeholders
  • Working knowledge or exposure to system-level architecture, design and implementation.
  • Strong grasp of design patterns, coding best practices and modern technologies.
  • Experience across a wide range of development languages with cloud, APIs, and enterprise software and full stack technologies

Remuneration Package

Salary:€120,000-€140,000
+Bonus and Flexi Benefit package.
