About the Position

Reporting to Head of Finance, the Finance Manager will be one of a team responsible for management and statutory reporting for the organisation. The primary focus of this role is consistent accuracy and quality of reporting and analysis, reflecting a commercial understanding of the business and of relevant accounting guidance. The successful candidate will represent the finance team on deal teams and prepare the competitor analysis benchmarking the business against the wider market. This role is initially being offered as a 15 month contract and a great opportunity togain experience with an aircraft lessor.

Key Responsibilities

· Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts and other management reports

 · Monthly reporting and analysis of variances between actual and budgeted results

· Manage the Impairment review model, ensuring the correct controls are in place and reporting is clear and concise

· Responsible for competitor analysis and benchmarking of organisation against its industry peers

· Assistance with the preparation and audit of individual and consolidated financial statements, in multiple international jurisdictions, including liaison with external auditors Head Office Reporting

· Point of contact for liaison with Head Office Finance team

· Coordination of all financial and management reporting for Head Office

· Timely, accurate preparation of consolidated management reports

· Research into and drafting of technical accounting memoranda to support the treatment for new and / or major accounting items

· Assist other staff in drafting accounting memoranda to support the recording of new transactions Commercial

· Represent Finance Department in Deal Teams to structure aviation transactions Systems and controls

· Assist in the maintenance of the General Ledger for the organisation

· Development of business processes to ensure robust, efficient, accurate and timely

· Ad hoc requests and projects as they arise

Experience/Requirements

· Qualified Accountant -ACA,ACCA,CIMA,CPA

· Ideally at least 4 years relevant work experience post qualified in an aircraft leasing/financial services focused environment – Big 4 or Industry

· Strong technical expert with significant industry transaction experience

· Excellent attention to detail & organisational skills

 · An ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks under time pressure

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
