Supply Chain Manager

About the Company

Supply Chain Manager required for a leading Food Production facility in Cork. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Supply Chain function at an expanding facility.

About the Position

In this role you will be responsible for converting the demand plan into a supply plan for the site and ensuring that raw material planning, logistics scheduling, warehouse capacity and production scheduling are aligned to meet requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with demand Planning & production to ensure there is a clear understanding of market requirements from the site.
  • Management of the End-to-End Supply planning for the site and ensure that the site delivers capacity requirements 
  • Management of Raw Material Supply, Packaging & Dispatch of Finished Goods 
  • Management of Stock / Inventory levels on site based on agreed metrics.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of Plant Wide data metrics relating to supply 
  • Manage the accurate reporting of Raw Material/Packaging consumption and yield of processing of ingredients through the plant.
  • Lead the Supply Planning Team to ensure all KPIs are met
  • Creation and delivery of department budget in line with plan
  • Develop warehouse strategy to ensure optimum use of available space and material flows in and out of the site.
  • Develop and coach the local Supply chain team with a focus on performance, collaboration, and cross functional teamwork
  • Lead and drive engagement of the team

Experience/Requirements

  • Degree/Masters in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Management Systems or equivalent
  • 5+ years’ experience in Supply Planning role
  • Experience of successfully leading a team
  • Background in FMCG with experience of all aspects of the End-to-End Supply Planning, ideally dairy however food, beverage, pharma or other process industries will be considered.
  • The ability to positively contribute to strategic business decision-making
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills.
  • IT literate with strong Word, Excel and database skills.

Remuneration Package

Salary is negotiable depending on experience. A benefits package including pension is included.
