About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Operator team working on the shift, ensuring that the production process runs safely, reliably, and efficiently
• Ensure the production plan and priorities for the shift are met.
• Create a shift schedule, assign duties and monitor team performance, ensuring standards are met or exceeded
• Coach team members on an ongoing basis and train new operators.
• Evaluate and provide feedback to operators on their performance, both formally at designated intervals and informally ‘in real time’, as appropriate
• Proactively engage with Maintenance, Quality and other functions at all times in order to ensure maximum collaboration to the benefit of the overall Cheese business
• Provide comprehensive end-of-shift Handover Report that facilitates immediate and urgent follow-up to specific issues as required
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency, make decisions and take initiative as required in order to continuously enhance the standards and output of the shift

Experience/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with some Operations Management / Functional Management experience within a complex food manufacturing plant desirable but not essential.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication, influencing and teamwork skills
• Experience of GMP, Hygiene and Health & Safety requirements
