Senior HR Business Partner

About the Company

My client is a Semi-State Government body and they have a requirement for a Senior HR Business Partner for a one year contract.

About the Position

The Senior HR Business Partner is as a key conduit between the HR Management team and the Business in the implementation of strategic and operational HR initiatives and activities. 
Reporting to the HR Manager, the Senior HR Business Partner will cultivate strong relationships with management and employees across all business functions, provide a deep understanding of the Business, deliver the required Business Partnering expertise to drive Business performance, and deliver a HR agenda that closely supports the overall aims of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the HR agenda and strategic direction consistently across all areas in the business
  • Develop and drive, with the relevant Head of Function, HR strategy for each assigned part of the business, identifying and implementing key HR initiatives that drive delivery of business goals, ensuring that activities introduced in each function contribute to the delivery of the overall HR strategy across the company.
  • Deliver key HR projects within the HR team and provide expert input to the team and wider  business on the delivery of these i.e., senior recruitment and attraction strategy, HRIS, Engagement initiatives, development interventions etc. 
  • Drive HR decision-making across the business through the provision, assimilation, and analytics of data, insights, and provide context to the interpretation of Business Unit reports (KPIs, workforce planning metrics, financials, projects, engagement, retention etc.)
  •  Work with transformation project teams to provide context and understanding in relation to HR operational change requirements
  •  Manage relationships with relevant internal stakeholders (HR Transaction Services) to ensure the delivery of appropriate levels of high-quality services, support, and intervention to meet the needs of the business
  • Manage recruitment of Executive & Senior roles, ensuring align of talent and attraction strategies
  • Work closely with the Finance Business Partners to ensure the management of Opex budget within the agreed headcount parameters
  • Develop and maintaining effective working relationships with managers and employees and working closely with them to implement solutions to meet their current and future business needs 

Experience/Requirements

  • Seven plus years’ HR experience with a minimum of five in a Business Partnering role
  • CIPD membership an advantage
  • Demonstrated commercial experience and extensive understanding of HR practices and Irish employment legislation, needs to understand the challenges faced by the organisation to be able to effectively serve the business
  • Ability to undertake a rigorous assessment of organisational capacity for change and innovation and invests time and energy in building a culture and capability to deliver it
  • Expert analytical expertise, able to manage large data sets and draw insights from the data, while adhering to GDPR and data protection requirements

Remuneration Package

€75,000 plus bonus and benefits
