Semi Senior Accountant (Cork)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the completion of accounts to trial balance stage.
• Assisting with the preparation of year end accounts.
• Bookkeeping and general ledger management.
• Processing purchase and sales invoices.
• Bank and control accounts reconciliation.
• Processing of VAT returns and ensuring compliance to filling deadlines.
• Assisting with monthly reporting.
• Assisting with the preparation of non-exempt audit files
• Payroll processing on a weekly and fortnightly basis.

Criteria:

• Ideally a part qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA or similar)
• 1 to 2 years’ experience required working in an accounting environment.
• Proficiency in accounting systems software
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with good communication skills
