Financial Accountant Job 

About the Company

This Financial Accountant job is with a well-established industry client based in Tallaght, a 15-minute walk from Tallaght Square shopping centre and provides free parking as well. Due to a successful year, they are looking to add to their finance team and hire a self-driven, Part Qualified Accountant who is at FAE or just recently Qualified also.

About the Position

This is a great opportunity to be a part of a successful medium-sized operation, where you will lead a small team in your area and have full exposure to the overall finances of this business. You will work in tandem with the GFC where you will have involvement at the end of year audits, managing their Fixed Assets, assisting with annual budgeting for the company and much more. If you are an ambitious soon-to-be Accountant with some experience doing the below duties this may be a great opportunity to have a hands-on role within a fast-paced finance environment. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing Cashflow - Monitor Bank Daily, Assist with Cashflow forecasting
  • Process Creditors Payments, monthly and weekly
  • Monitoring Overheads
  • Liaise with Purchasing on Customs Issues
  • Monitor Controls in Accounts Dept
  • Process Monthly Salaries and Weekly Payroll
  • Confirm Monthly PAYE/PRSI totals on Ros 
  • Review and process Monthly VAT Close off
  • Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts to strict deadlines
  • Intercompany Reconciliation     
  • Maintain and Update Fixed Asset Register
  • Monitoring sales of new equipment/ Fixed Asset Disposals
  • Additional Monthly Reporting & Analysis for Board Meetings including Capex Report, Churn Report, Utilisation Report
  • File Returns, including VAT Return, NI VAT Return, VIES, Intrastat, CSO & Form 46G
  • Annual Audit
  • Assist with annual budgeting process
  • Assist the Accounts Team with queries
  • Provide cover for annual leave within the Accounts Team
  • Ongoing developments and improvements within the accounts function
  • Assist with the development of ESG reporting
  • Adhoc finance projects

Experience/Requirements

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) 
  • Prior experience producing management accounts is preferred but open to a PQA at FAE who has some experience assisting with end-of-year and financial reporting. 
  • Experience supervising or managing 2-3 team members
  • Extensive experience with MS Office and MS Excel in particular
  • Experience working with ERP and finance systems 

Remuneration Package

  • Salary range €50k-€60k
  • Pension & DIS
  • Hybrid work
