About the Company

Our client is is Ireland's leading supplier of LPG and BioLPG, their 100% renewable energy solution for business and domestic use.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for assigned engineering projects within a team of engineers across 5 terminals and depots and 3 cylinder refilling/refurbishment plants within the 32 counties on the island

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute project schedules in conjunction with the Engineering Projects Manager
  • Manage project budgets including cost projections, costings, contingencies and spend
  • Manage contractors on assigned engineering projects with particular focus on health and safety
  • Complete and refresh all training specific to role as and when required.
  • Manage individual projects to ensure they are completed on time
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor assigned engineering projects
  • Liaise with Plant/Depot/CED managers to agree on scope and timelines of projects
  • Prepare project status reports for review by Engineering Projects Manager
  • Communicate project updates to Plant and Depot managers and key stakeholders
  • Continuously review safe systems of work and create, update, and implement relevant work instructions / procedures. Identify gaps against statutory and corporate standards.
  • To design, specify and manage the installation of Operational projects as specified and required due to production, safety, or environmental requirements.
  • Adhere to the Engineering Management of Change procedure
  • Support safety audits on all sites
  • Diligent safety and technical process design and adherence
  • Convert technical requirements into realistic and achievable action plans
  • Support day to day Operations activities including providing technical advice and solutions
  • Support QHSE and Process safety manger ensure site compliance with SHV Process Safety Management where required.


  • 3-5 years experience as a project Engineer
  • Primary degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, or industrial engineering
  • Health and Safety qualification to NEBOSH certificate level or higher.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Experience in Project management.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise.
  • Strong numerical ability, good technical report writing and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, can-do attitude, and team player
  • Willingness to learn and be flexible
  • Experience of working in a demanding and safety focussed area.
  • Ability to communicate with Key Stakeholders relevant to all assigned engineering projects
  • AutoCAD experience is desirable
  • A full clean EU driving/UK driving licence is essential
