About the Position

Our client, based in Portlaoise are looking for an administrator for their procurement department – this is a new role with huge potential for progression. The purpose of this role is to provide administrative services within the Procurement Department and will be working from home 3 days a week

Key Responsibilities

  • Locate & accumulate spend data for comparisons and projections. Using the supplier management system, etenders & Agresso information by collating the supporting data, to assist in the scoring and evaluation process.
  • Set up & assist with identifying Suppliers, Pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQ's) & Facilitating issuing of tenders on Etenders, including supporting data (maps, site listings, bidding schedules, ITT’s etc)
  • Monitor PQQ/Tender progress and acceptance and provide reports on same.
  • Prepare and issue regret and award letters to contractors
  • Set up of contracts, monitor and follow up on contract acceptance, extension of contracts where applicable by supporting this process.
  • Complete SMS patch testing as required on a periodic basis.
  • Provide support and training to staff and contractors on system to ensure its efficient operation. Provide admin support to the wider procurement team as required.

Experience/Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in business administration or related discipline to HETAC Level 5.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience administration experience in a procurement team, with experience, knowledge of and awareness of procurement regulations.
  • Excellent IT skills, intermediate/advanced excel skills and general office management skills. Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Strong report writing, analytical skills, numeracy skills and an ability to present information clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent ability to deliver accurate and timely data and information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with staff, contractors and stakeholders. 

Remuneration Package

€15 per hour
