My client is one of the big names in food production here in Ireland. They supply clients across 35 markets here in ROI and across the entire EMEA region. The client services highly popular and much loved food outlets in these regions and work with all the big names in the retail and hospitality sectors as well. 

About the Position

This role as a Financial Accountant was created to eveliate pressure on a busy finance team that includes 10+ other members and is led by a Finance Manager and Finance Director. There is a job opening for an experienced Financial Accountant to join this growing organisation and have a leadership role in the next year. My client is really emphasising the right fit for the team, not only the required attributes for the role but also the attitude. The finance team here has a good retention rate and the client really emphasised that there is a great culture of comradery and togetherness within the company's culture. This is a large organisation, highly established with an international presence, there is future scope to progress and flourish in your career as an Accountant here. 
This job is offering €65,000, healthcare, pension and additional annual leave.
On-site working. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishing good working relationships with all stakeholders involved, including support for the wider finance team. 
  • Reconciliation of monthly financials to weekly management reports/weekly KPI’s
  • Understanding of product costing, ability to review costs and challenge local management on business performance 
  • Production and delivery of the monthly financial reports for our distribution and waste treatment companies
  • Production and delivery of the monthly financial reports
  • Preparation and submission of annual budgets for senior finance and management teams 
  • Review and responsibility for gathering necessary financial information for budget process
  • Reviewing internal controls across the business, identifying and implementing necessary improvements
  • Manage cash flows across the businesses
  • Ensure  VAT, PAYE, customs and other necessary external returns are prepared on a timely and accurate basis across all businesses
  • Ad hoc project work and financial analysis as required, assisting the financial controller and wider business team across all companies in the group

Experience/Requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of monthly management accounts, KPI Reporting, budgeting, forecasting and group reporting in a busy fast-paced environment for a large company with an international presence. 
  • High levels of motivation, enthusiasm and ambition
  • Flexibility and determination to meet all reporting deadlines
  • Capable of working well in a team environment, supporting and mentoring junior finance team members
  • Excellent Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manipulate data to meet reporting requirements. 
  • Knowledge of an ERP System such as Microsoft Navision or Business Central would be an advantage but not essential 
  • Must be a qualified accountant with the right visa documentation to be fully eligible to work in ROI,  
  • At least 3-5 years PQE, ideally within manufacturing, food productions, supply chain or FMCG would be an advantage 

Remuneration Package

This job is offering €65,000 salary, healthcare, pension and additional annual leave.
