Scrum Master

Our client has an immediate requirement for of a Scrum Master to join their team for an initial 12 month contract.

About the Position

This Scrum Master is responsible for optimizing the flow of stories and the value delivered by one or more Scrum team and is focused on serving the needs of the team to drive performance and growth. This role ensures the impediments are resolved quickly, the team follows their agreed- to processes, and that there is a good relationship between the Product Owner and the development team
 

Key Skills:

  • Guide and coach a team on Scrum practices.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives).
  • In a Scaled Agile model, facilitate scaled planning for the team (Pre Planning/ Preparation and PI Planning Events) and represent the team in Scrum of Scrums/ART Syncs.
  • Help the team define norms/agreements, like a Definition of Ready and Definition of Done, and enforce the agreements.
  • Ensure the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog (in collaboration with the PO).
  • Facilitate dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the team.
  • Promote/facilitate communication and collaboration within the Agile team to support value delivery and Sprint commitments.
     

Required skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technology and serving as a hands-on Scrum Master. Have knowledge of various patterns, anti-patterns and techniques to ensure that Scrum can be applied effectively.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Agile SDLC processes and deliverables. Experience in education and demonstrating facilitation of core agile practices including but not limited to Kanban Scrum Feature and story backlog prioritization and refinement Release planning (Program Increment)
  • Working knowledge Application Lifecycle Management.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile tools (Jira, Jenkins, Bitbucket).
  • Experience in education at all levels of management within the agile framework (portfolio, program, team).
