Structured Finance Accountant

About the Company

Our client a leader in global capital markets, has an opportunity for an experienced qualified accountant with experience within the aircraft leasing or structured finance industry who will be responsible for managing a portfolio of structured finance transactions. This role will include the ongoing management of the transactions and the preparation of relevant management accounts and annual statutory financial statements.

About the Position

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishing and maintaining the financial books and records for a portfolio of securitisation transactions and aircraft entities.
  • Monitoring the obligations of all parties under the transaction documents on an ongoing basis
  • Preparing audit files for submission to the auditors and dealing with any queries that may arise during the course of the audit
  • Preparing the statutory financial statements
  • Completing VAT and PAYE/PRSI returns for client entities
  • Dealing with the tax advisors in relation to the annual tax return (CT1) and other required tax returns
  • Assisting with the completion and filing of FVC returns for the relevant entities
  • Ensuring all bank statements, invoices and other financial records are received from the relevant counterparty
  • Liaising directly with the asset manager, trustee, account bank, auditors, lawyers and other service providers involved in the transactions
  • Scheduling audits to ensure all deadlines (CRO, ISE, transaction) are met.

Experience/Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with 3-5 years post qualified experience.
  • Experience of the aircraft leasing and structured finance industry from a transaction management perspective preferred.
  • Experience in the preparation of management accounts, the related annual statutory financial statements and dealing with queries from the auditors.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel and Word

Remuneration Package

  • €65,000 - €75,000 Depending on experience
