About the Company

Our client based in Limerick is national health care provider specialising in nursing home care, with over 1600 people employed. They are currently looking to fill a key role of Payroll Specialist. This is a full-time permanent position and high-volume Irish payroll experience is a must. Our client based in Limerick is a leading national health care provider, specialising in nursing home care, with over 1600 people employed. The client offers hybrid working 3 days in the office and 2 days at home. The client offers excellent holidays in year one as well as competitive pension contribution.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for high volume bi-weekly and monthly payrolls for multiple sites
  • Inputting new starter and leaver forms on the payroll system
  • Assure computation of pay is according to company policy and in accordance with government regulations and tax legislation
  • Complete payroll reconciliations between the time and attendance system(TMS) and the payroll system(Quantum)
  • Prepare the control reports as required weekly  
  • Prepare and complete the Revenue Online Service(ROS) submissions & relevant payroll deduction payments
  • Help drive the internal control process
  • Complete reports for pension brokers and CSO.
  • Keep up to date with legislative changes including employment, taxation, and social welfare which impact on payroll and advise other team members and management of same
  • Assist in special projects/additional reporting as assigned by Payroll Team Lead/Other
  • Liaise with the external auditors as a part of the year end audit

Key Requirements:

  • Min 5 years’ experience in a high-volume payroll role
  • Experience in a multi-site role is highly desirable
  • Payroll qualification such as IPASS or equivalent preferably
  • Strong attention to detail & good communication skills
  • Experience processing high volume payroll
  • Strong Payroll systems(including Time & Attendance Systems) and Microsoft Office Excel skills such as Vlookups, Pivots etc are essential

Remuneration Package €48-50,000 PA plus Pension
