Solvency II Reporting Data Analyst 

About the Company

Our client a global insurance company in Dublin city centre are recruiting a Solvency II Reporting Data Analyst to join their accounting team. This will suit a qualified or part-qualified accountant, with experience in the insurance industry/solvency II/ regulatory reporting and with advanced Excel skills and ability to manipulate large datasets and spreadsheets.  

About the Position

This person will be responsible, as part of a team, for supporting the business with the population of Solvency II regulatory reporting templates with regards to data collation, reconciliation, and validation to ensure that the regulatory reporting is completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting end-to-end regulatory reporting process, including in particular the preparation and timely submission of the regulatory Quantitative Reporting Templates (QRT’s) and National Specific Templates (NST’s)
  • Collation of raw data from premium and claims bordereaux received from Third Party Administrators, reconciliation of that data to policy administration systems and preparation of the data in formats that can be fed into the Solvency II Reporting Tool
  • Working with Finance to source other data inputs into the Solvency II reporting process including information around areas such as receivables, investments and reinsurance counterparties
  • Take a proactive role in managing the process including actively liaising with owners of data and preparing them for deliverables / timetables
  • Support the Controller and Chief Financial Officer with the production of ad hoc Finance exhibits and analysis, as required
  • Seek ways to streamline and improve processes to bring increased efficiencies to the close process
  • Engage with other functional teams within the business such as Claims, IT, Actuarial, Underwriting and Financial Planning & Analysis, as required

 

Experience/Requirements

  • Fully qualified Accountant / part-qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar).
  • Experience working within the insurance industry, Solvency II experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting packages (Oracle ERP experience beneficial).

 

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and general IT skills, with experience of working with large quantities of data.
  • Ability to work within strict deadlines and to multi-task.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Remuneration Package

  • €60,000 - €65,000 +Bonus & Benefits
    • Bonus 15%
    • Pension 7%
    • Health insurance
    • 25-30 days annual leave
    • Hybrid working (3 days in the office)
