Quantity Surveyor – Commercial Projects

About the Company

Our client is an expanding commercial company who are looking to increase their foothold in the Irish and European markets. They have a large portfolio of commercial property and are looking to increase their construction programs with the assistance of a Quantity Surveyor. This client is in expansion mode and have a project pipeline over the next 5 years.

About the Position

Working closely with the commercial director, you will become the main central support in providing consulting advice and expertise in the area of quantity surveying. You will manage a number of projects from initial acquisition to commissioning and to hand over.

Experience/Requirements

Within this role you are will:

  • Manage a portfolio of projects from a QS perspective
  • Responsible for estimating and costings of works required
  • Manage and develop a team of quantity surveyors  
  • Report to senior directors in project plans and developments.
  • Manage materials and procurement for the programs.
  • Manage the legal aspects of the contracts.
  • Manage pre-construction through to completion  

For this role you are required to have:

  • 8 years experience in Quantity Surveying
  • A related qualification, RISC
  • Experience in engineering and construction
  • Experience in large scale construction programs.
  • Consulting experience
  • A full drivers license

Remuneration Package

The client offers an excellent package along with benefits. They also offer pension, a car allowance and healthcare. They have also incorporated a hybrid model and, as this is a senior consulting role, you will be responsible for your location of work on a needs must basis.
