Daily rate contract (on-site role)


About the Company
 

Our client is a large and well known organisation. They have an immediate requirement for an experienced 1st or 2nd level support person initially for a 6-month contract.

 

About the Position


This role will be both remote and deskside support.  It requires a motivated self-starter who works best in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent hardware and software troubleshooting capabilities.


Key Responsibilities

 

  • Provide analysis of problem area that leads to finding and providing solution
  • Provide hardware and software support, either remotely or at local level
  • Apply appropriate fixes to desktops, Laptop PC’s, and printers or escalate to management as required.
  • Support users at all levels, including remote users and the Executive team.
  • Update all user queries through incident logging system with regard to call progression and complete all incidents and tasks in a timely manner based on Service Level Agreements.
  • Provide a helpful and professional service at all times
  • Document and submit new solutions into ICT knowledgebase
  • Take responsibility for the delivery and installation of new ICT hardware and software in line with current processes and procedures
  • Ensure all Desktop and laptops PCs are patched to the highest available level and all known security risks are remediated.
  • Liaise with third party vendors for support issues
  • Participate in onsite support and projects work as required.
  • Upskill in new technologies, procedures and customer service enhancements, as required.

 

Experience/Requirements

 

  • An IT qualification with related experience
  • Hardware Experience – Windows Desktop and Laptop PC’s, Apple MacBooks, Printers, Mobile devices (e.g., iPhones, Android, Tablets)
  • Communications Experience- Basic LAN support including vLAN knowledge.
  • Operating Systems Experience - Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 and MacOS.
  • Software Experience - Anti-virus software, Encryption software, Office 365 suite, SCCM (MECM), Airwatch MDM.
  • Active Directory – Good understanding of AD, user account, groups and permissions.
