HR Manager

 

About the Position

Our client is a leading nationwide representative body with their head office in Dublin 2. 
Reporting to the Head of Internal Operations, the HR Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and management of HR strategies and operational activities that support the organisations' strategy and objectives. The HR Manager will also implement exceptional people practices, by proactively engaging and supporting the organisation through daily HR management and designing and delivering key strategic projects.
Working closely with the Leadership Team, the HR Manager will be involved in a range of HR initiatives covering the full employee life cycle that will transform how they deliver the HR strategy and services. These initiatives will include employee communications and engagement, capability and career development, performance and recognition while supporting the transition to a new operating model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with the Head of Internal Operations, cultivate strong working relationships with the Leadership Team and management to encourage collaboration and achievement of objectives
  • Act as a trusted adviser for management, providing expert advice, coaching and support on all people related issues and initiatives as well as their insight on how to optimise the performance of the organisation
  • Manage and deliver HR strategic and operational activities provided to management and staff in line with HR strategy and employee life cycle
  • Champion the development of a ‘great place to work’ attitude and experience within the organisation with particular focus on employee engagement and development
  • Working with the CEO and Leadership team, implement and support the transformation of the organisations' operating model through provision of expert HR planning, advice, and processes
  • Design and support the implementation and delivery of best practice HR initiatives, projects, and processes within the organisation, working with internal and external partners as required
  • Partner the Leadership team and proactively lead the employee engagement, development and performance strategies for the organisation are in line with strategic objectives and goals
  • Coach and guide management across all employee life-cycle practices and processes to ensure consistent employee experience within the business, including recruitment, induction, development etc
  • Support management to proactively manage employee relations issues and build good working relationships and communications with employee representatives
  • Develop an organisation capability development approach to meet current and future capability requirements through talent & succession management and employee development planning
  • Work with the Learning & Development team to design and implement training and development opportunities for employees such as onboarding; technical topics; management etc
  • Ensure all HR initiatives and matters are dealt with consistently and in line with employment law and company policy
  • In partnership with the CEO and Leadership Team, develop, manage, and provide guidance on the performance management process, promoting two-way discussion and feedback that supports employee development
  
Experience/Requirements
  • At least 5 years business partner /HR Manager experience in a dynamic, commercially focused organisation ideally in financial services
  • Hands-on experience managing all aspects of HR, in particular areas of resource management, talent management including performance management, reward and retention, coaching, career development, employee relations and employment law
  • Strategic and change management experience
  • A customer-focused approach with strong organisational skills to deliver multiple operational, project and strategic deliverables to a variety of stakeholders to deadline
  • Demonstrable experience implementing change initiatives and/or projects across variety of teams/location
  • Excellent relationship management and teamwork skills, capable of working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and contributors and facilitate discussion and alignment
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to influence and Strong presentation and influencing skills, you will be an excellent communicator who is able to build relationships quickly
  • Experience in people management, managing, training and development team members in a busy environment

Remuneration Package

€85,000- €100,000 plus excellent benefits package
