Biologics Manufacturing 

About the Company

My client are a leading Global Healthcare group with multiple sites across Ireland. They develop,  manufacture and supply a range of Pharmaceuticals, Biologics, Medical Devices and Diagnostics Globally. They have a presence in Ireland with multiple manufacturing operations and commercial offices. Due to success and expansion plans at their Biologics facility in Ireland, they are hiring a number of Process Scientists across Downstream and Upstream production to support their growth. 

About the Position

Reporting into the Upstream and Downstream Managers, the Process Scientists will play an important role in the overall success of the sites manufacturing expansion and success. The positions are offered on an initial 12 month contract basis. 

Key Responsibilities

  • To support the manufacture, optimization, scale-up and validation across production 
  • To assist in the transfer of processes into the facility 
  • To provide hands-on technical support for all manufacturing activities
  • To promote continuous improvement initiatives, operational excellence and lean practices across the site 
  • Represent the manufacturing department globally and work with external contractors and vendors 
  • To provide technical reports upon completion of projects
  • To participate in audits and ensure the site is inspection ready at all times 

Experience/Requirements

  • A BSc / MSc / PhD in Science, Engineering or related
  • 2 - 5 years Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry experience within bio process development or manufacturing 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a busy team environment and work cross functionally with other departments 
  • Eligible to live and work in Ireland  - onsite 

Remuneration Package

Competitive contracting rates.
