Business Development Manager (Capital Equipment Sales)


About the Company

Our client is a very successful and growing Irish company selling products into retail and commercial business throughout Ireland and moving into the UK.


About the Position

They have an immediate requirement for a Business Development Manager to further develop a growing part of their business.  In this role you will be co-leading the growth and expansion of their business selling into Retail, Commercial, Shopfitting and Fit-out sectors.

Key Responsibilities

The Role:

Co-lead and plan the Business Development with the Commercial Director across all new business target markets.

Building relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address those needs (around 75% of focus).

Maintaining and develop relationships with current clients (25% of your focus).

Identification, generation and presentation of new business cases and opportunities.

Through professional needs based selling presentations to ensure that the customer is offered the full complement of goods & services, based on customer needs, tenders or current business reviews.

Through customer facing activity and relationship building, working with procurement buyers, project managers, shop fitters, operations & facility managers, designers & architects, to secure contracts.

Drive and develop further profitable business and opportunities across target segments

Develop and maintain an understanding of the LED lighting industry to maximise Pro-Lights products and services to customers




The ideal candidate will have

3+ years in a business development role

A proven background in capital equipment sales, ideally in the retail, Commercial, shopfitting and Fit out sectors would be a distinct advantage.

Ability to organise and plan yout own workload

The successful applicant will have the ability to sell ideas, products and services

An ability to work autonomously, and as part of a wider team

Experience in application, completion of tender opportunities, sales forecasting and presentation experience

Full Irish Driving Licence (Essential)


Remuneration Package

Good salary (negotiable) and multiple benefits including uncapped commission.
