About the Position

The company has a pipeline of significant projects, which include the replacement of a number of core business applications along with other projects focusing on system integration, continuous process improvement and regulatory enhancements. This role and environment will be a varied and interesting one and the successful candidate will be exposed to a wide variety of projects and applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the operations and development teams to gather requirements for system and/or process enhancements to facilitate productivity, risk reduction, new business or client related change requests
  • Engage with stakeholders to produce comprehensive and complete business requirements and specifications, including business process redesign where necessary, for existing and new systems, functionality, interfaces and reports
  • Interact with Senior Management, business units (near and far shore), developers and IT, along with partners and vendors throughout the project lifecycles
  • To coordinate testing requirements for technological changes, including managing business user groups and providing direction on test plans and strategies and ensuring development and test best practices are followed in accordance with company SDLC.
  • Produce relevant documentation for system and/or process enhancements (functional design specifications, test diaries, user manuals etc.)
  • Ensure training requirements for system changes are met where necessary, either by working with the in-house training department or delivery of training directly to affected departments.
  • Oversee tactically significant operational changes to ensure proposed operational models are as efficient and risk free as possible
  • Investigate, exploit and achieve maximum operational utilisation from all suitable functionality within the core vendor supplied operational systems
  • Review, recommend and improve business processes on an ongoing basis

Experience/Requirements

  • 5+ years’ operational experience in Funds Administration or Financial Services
  • 3+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst role
  • Familiarity with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server) and data warehousing technologies.
  • Basic coding skills an advantage (e.g. sql, vba)
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels.
