Innovation Technical Architect – Dublin / Hybrid / Remote

My client, a global Software Organisation based in South Dublin, now has a requirement for a dynamic Innovation Architect to join their team.

About the Position

This role sits at the heart of the organisation and will see you assume a pivotal role in the continued success and development of the company by understanding customers’ needs and delivering my client’s unique value proposition to demonstrate innovation and success.

You will be involved in creating technical solutions to seemingly insurmountable challenges, you will provide thought leadership, mentoring and support across the organisation and ensure the continued evolution and success of the company

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Work closely with the Sales/Pre-Sales/CSMs/Tech teams to identify new potential “blockers” along the customer journey and develop innovative technical solutions to address them
  • Interface with team of global Product Champions in soliciting feedback on customer challenges and the execution of services
  • Manage and drive the technical research and development of new service solutions &/or offerings allowing customers to extend, protect and enhance their existing software investments
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to lead on the definition and continuous improvement of service excellence and quality standards
  • Lead and manage the technical resources in the R&D of new service solutions or service examples
  • Assist in creation, maintenance, training and implementation of runbooks for each service offering.
  • Be primary contact in providing coaching and technical expertise in supporting our technical pre-sales to ensure organisations fully understand our value-add and risk management via technical assistance and oversight/point of escalation for the Product Support Check process which is carried out by operations
  • Validate that developed solutions meet the desired goal by participating as part of the feedback loop

Experience/Requirements

 

  • 10 years+ experience or similar initiatives
  • Deep technical knowledge of IBM (and divested) technologies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Sound business acumen with proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders to achieve business objectives
  • Experience with some / any of the below an advantage:
      • Software Maintenance ISO 14764
      • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) V4
      • Service Excellence ISO 20000, 23592 & 24082
      • Innovation Management Systems ISO 56000 series
  • Experience in Agile /scrum methodologies
