Operational Risk and Control Officer

About the Company

International Banking group - this role sits in the OPC department. Operational Permanent Control. 

About the Position

The main objective of the role is the implementation of the framework of OPC as well as of the local identification, measurement and management of operational risk. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of OPC in the management and administration of the department 
  • Third Party Risk Management - including co-ordination of TPRM KPI collection and monitoring and escalation of issues/incidents identified appropriate governance committee
  • Partners with the Business/Function areas to ensure identification of critical business processes, formulation of effective controls and mitigation of operational risks – developing a clear understanding of their operational risk profile 
  • Performance of OPC controls and KSP’s and sign offs (as assigned)
  • Performs annual Risk Control Self-Assessment (as assigned)
  • Perform an assessment of operational risk for new transactions and activities.(TAC/NAC)  
  • Contribute to Governance committees (GB and Territory ICC, FSOPCO etc)
  • Operational Risk incident management, reporting, investigation and action plan follow up
  • Reporting to and liaising with Central Stakeholders (CCCO and RISK ORm)
  • Audit Recommendation follow‐up & reporting, ensuring timely implementation & Action‐Plans 
  • Contribute to the enhancement of KSP’s 
  • Procedures -  ensuring that Group & CIB procedures and methodologies are distributed & observed.
  • Contribute to the general administration of the OPC department (procedure writing, filing, diary management etc.)

Experience/Requirements

  • Strong Risk Awareness and relevant experience 
  • Relevant educational background
  • Strong Communication Skills, Presentation Skills
  • Organizational Skills, Diligent & see things through to the end
 

Remuneration Package

Perm role, €65 - €70k, benefits package. Hybrid working model (50/50)
