Lean Six Sigma Senior Operational Lead (12 month FTC)

Our client is a leading European financial services group that are expanding rapidly through organic and M&A scaling and have ambitious plans to grow their business across Europe. They are looking for a Senior Manager Operational Excellence to join them and implement and integrate Lean Six Sigma based process improvements and operationalise them into BAU. 

Reporting to the Director, Group Operations & Service Team, you will contributes to the delivery of improvement initiatives across the Group in achieving their strategic objectives, supporting  the functional lines by fostering efficient operational management and drive continuous improvement to ensure sustainable change

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational excellence change portfolio
  • Lead and deliver selected Operational Excellence initiatives
  • Is primary point for Lean Six Sigma (LSS) related questions and advise Sr management
  • Develop and maintain LSS tools/processes to increase the efficiency of data gathering and analysis 
  • Leads Lean and/or Six Sigma projects to eliminate waste and improve performance
  • Initialize improvement projects in close collaboration with BUs and Functional Lines by identifying root causes of technical, operational, service, and financial variances and to recommend solutions
  • Assist in planning, execution and monitoring of continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen, Action Sheets and/or Gemba Walks
  • Assist in training associates in the use of Lean tools

Ideal Experience:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic and/or operational excellence consulting
  • Experience in continuous improvement programmes
  • Experience in and Lean Six Sigma projects; Black Belt is required
  • Proven ability to lead a project team to successful completion as evidence by measurable and sustained process improvement
  • Result oriented, excellent communication skills and you have a good knowledge of the English language
  • Coaching and mentoring ability to act as a coach at all levels in the organization
  • Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills necessary to influence a large and diverse group of stakeholders including senior management, subject matter experts and across geographic areas
  • MSc Business Administration or similar field of expertise

  • Ability to deliver to tight deadlines
  • Ability to interpret and present information and data in a practical format and articulate to all levels
  • Excellent time management to ensure deadlines are met and critical projects are prioritised
  • Flexibility to cater with changing work and time demands
  • Experience in the Insurance / Financial Services or Advisory sector would be ideal. 
  • Excellent MS Office skills
