About the Company
My client, based in South Dublin, operates facilities circa 240,000 sq. feet, which includes 50m Pool, Athletics Track, Gym and fitness studios, Sports halls, Cinema, Theatre, Debating chambers and conference rooms. All facilities are provided to enhance the student experience and attempts to provide opportunity for all to find their community within a large and diverse cohort of National and International students.
About the Position
They are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator for a 4 or 5 days a week position. The successful candidate will work as part of our Finance Team, reporting to the Financial Controller. The role will require the post holder to demonstrate excellent organisational and administrative skills. Responsibility for the end-to-end processing of monthly and weekly payrolls in an efficient and timely manner, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality at all times
Key Responsibilities
Coordination and processing of weekly and monthly payrolls with strict adherence to deadlines.
Administration of employee information in the payroll system including starters, leavers and employee changes.
Administration of pension deductions, pay increases and flexitime.
Preparation of weekly and monthly payroll Bank Files for approval.
Preparation of Contracts of Employment.
Assist with setting up of Employee PRSA plans.
Ensure the payment of all deductions at source e.g. Bike to Work and PRSAs.
Keep up to date records of any Dept. of Social Protection payments received by the company in respect of e.g. Illness Benefit, Maternity Benefit and Paternity Benefit etc.
Deal with payroll queries on pay, tax and PRSI deductions, hours worked, pension, holidays and other benefits from employees in a prompt manner.
Preparation of month end payroll journals and any other ad hoc payroll reporting as requested.
Keep up to date records of holiday pay due to Part Time staff for payment bi-annually.
Provide detailed reconciliations of each payroll run.
Ensure strict adherence to all Revenue and Employment Law requirements through research validation of legislation and annual updates.
Review and process employee expenses and commission claims.
Assist with any special projects associated with the payroll function.
Prepare payroll related documentation for auditors as part of annual audit obligations.
Adhoc cover to raise and receipt purchase orders when other staff on holidays.
Complete payroll related CSO returns.
Experience/Requirements
IPASS qualification or equivalent.
Irish payroll experience essential.
Strong knowledge of Irish payroll legislation
5+ years experienced in using payroll and time management systems.
Possess the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
Good organizational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Good computer skills with strong experience in Excel, word and Outlook.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect and work with people.
Positive energy and attitude with a desire to drive constant improvement and change.
Ability to work on own initiative and prioritize workload.
Good problem-solving skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines

Salary of €45,000 (pro rata)
